A microphone in a radio studio under warm light

On the Radio

From my own radio station at the age of seven to BBC Radio 4 — radio has been part of my story for years, and I am ready for the next chapter.

My radio story

It began with a mission to spread positivity.

Radio came into my life at the age of seven. It was the time of COVID-19, and I set out on a mission to spread positivity — beginning with my YouTube channel, and then YouTube and Facebook Lives with Fun FM, my very own radio station.

Since then I have taken my radio career increasingly seriously, and it has already brought some life-changing moments — including several very special days at the BBC.

What began as a seven-year-old's way of lifting spirits in a difficult time has become a serious ambition. I am now looking towards the next chapter.

On air so far

A short broadcast history, with some very proud moments

From the age of seven

Fun FM — my own station

During COVID-19, I began my mission to spread positivity — and ran my own radio station, Fun FM, with live shows on YouTube and Facebook.

A yearly highlight

BBC Three Counties Radio

A valued partnership, particularly with Justin Dealey. I have the pleasure of appearing on his show once a year, and he recorded an excellent clip at my gig — it was a pleasure to have him there.

A real honour

BBC Radio 4 — In Touch

I have had the pleasure of collaborating on In Touch with Peter White — a national-radio moment of which I am very proud.

I have also enjoyed being a guest on many other radio shows along the way — each one a lesson in how the professionals do it.

The next chapter

Two ways we could work together

Help me create my own station

I would welcome support in creating my own radio station — the next version of Fun FM, done properly. If you can help with station set-up, equipment, mentoring or backing, I should be glad to hear from you.

Or give me a place on yours

I am open to opportunities on existing stations — a temporary show, a permanent slot, a guest hour or covering for another presenter. If there is a microphone spare, I should love to try it.

What I would bring to your show

Three things I would bring to the studio

The stories

A story for every song — who wrote it, who sang it first, and why it still matters. The Stories, after all, are rather the point.

The music

A thorough, genuine knowledge of the country folk of the 1950s and 1960s, from the celebrated recordings to the lesser-known tracks worth rediscovering.

The voice

Warm, engaging and genuine on the microphone — a voice trained by years of singing, with a presenter's enthusiasm to match.
